The bypass is a central component for the tuning of your SI carburetor and primarily influences the low to medium speed range. In the case of SI secondary throttles with a double designation, it is not only responsible for fuel metering: due to the design, the gasoline is already premixed with air in the throttle body, which supports mixture preparation in the partial load range. The marking 45 / 120 stands for the ratio of the two figures. The smaller the calculated value, the «richer» your scooter runs at moderate engine speeds, the larger, the «leaner». Especially for longer trips in the half-throttle range, it is worth tuning up here.
