Self-tapping threaded insert for repairing damaged M6 threads.
The insert works in aluminum.
The damaged thread must be drilled out to a diameter of 8 mm so that the threaded insert can be installed. As it is screwed into the aluminum, the external thread cuts a new, secure hold. Ideally, the insert should also be secured with Loctite.
