Application: The foil is clamped between the breaker contacts through the longitudinal slots in the flywheel. Now turn in the direction of engine rotation while gently pulling on the foil. As soon as the breaker begins to open even slightly, the foil is automatically pulled out. This moment, when the breaker begins to open, is the ignition timing.
